Wyvona May Cahill, age 98, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at Diversicare in Chanute, Kansas. Wyvona was born on September 24, 1920, to Manus Clyde Reeder and Nellie Mae (Pelton) Reeder.
Wyvona grew up and attended school in Miami, Oklahoma. She married David Arland Fugitt in March 1940, in Carthage, Missouri.
Wyvona enjoyed attending her great-grandchildren's dance recitals. She liked to dance and found great joy in socializing with others. She enjoyed traveling. Wyvona was a great seamstress, making many of her family members' clothes.
Wyvona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Fugitt; one son, Raymond Clyde Smith; one daughter, Patricia Gail Flaugher; one step-son, Gilbert Arland Fugitt; two sisters, Lucille McDaniel and Dorothy Williamson; one brother, Willis Reeder.
Wyvona is survived by one sister, Shirley King and husband Bob, Wichita, Kansas; one step-daughter, Joan Colvin and husband Ray, Humboldt, Kansas; step-daughter-in-law, Doris Fugitt, Humboldt, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Debbie Potter, Austin, Texas, Robin Nissen, Austin, Texas, Eddie Flaugher Jr., Miami, Florida, Gail Ann Jackson, Miami, Florida, Gilbert Fugitt Jr., California, Marilyn Dooley, Humboldt, Kansas, Pamela Romary, Nebraska, Ann Finley, Chanute, Kansas, David Colvin, Overland Park, Kansas; numerous great-grandkids, great-great-grandkids, and many other realtives.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.
